standing on destined business with evolutionary astrology

if you could come back + do it all over again… 

how would you do it differently?

imagine that’s why you’re here now; receiving that to take the opportunity to make things right for past selves. to give the chance to past you to do the things you desired the most, but didn’t platform the way you wanted or needed. 

if you believe we’ve come here with a balance of fate + free will - that there are some things in our life that are fated, yes, and those were chose by our past selves who wanted to experience those things in this lifetime, but that how we respond and relate to those things is our free will - then evolutionary astrology is for you. 

the south node placement in our chart can give us a feeling of safety or familiarity, behaviors or relationships we re-create in this lifetime based on what we’ve known in previous iterations; helpful as part of the guide of where to go, sometimes challenging or falsely “comforting” as we move ahead. 

that’s why some of our “toxic” behaviors can feel good; we’re probably repeating a pattern or a cycle we’ve karmically graduated from but it feels right somehow on a soul level because we’ve known it.

in a recent session brought on by crossed (fated) paths with evolutionary astrologer + herbalist fern vuchinich, we explored the current crossroads i’m experiencing in the physical realm as well as on a soul level. 

a shift i’ve sensed for many years, but come into in a real + dedicated way in the last few years. 

destiny doesn’t put us immediately into our desired outcome. 

the alignment comes through true integration, sparked by trials + life experiences that shape us on a cellular level, 

so that we’re not just performing our dream; we are wholly embodying + living it. 

evolutionary astrology isn’t the sun sign horoscope you take at a glance before you begin your day.

it is the type of work that asks you to be honest with yourself about the lives you’ve come from to bring you here to this one. 

it is the type of work that asks you to be honest about what you have sacrificed + continue to sacrifice out of false comfort or fear of growth. 

it is the type of work that asks you to get over the self-protective ick of putting yourself out there in a new way. 

it is the type of work that asks what you came to do + what you have to give up to do it. 

it’s evolution. 

SOME NOTES ON WHAT TO EXPECT 

you’ve got to be real about looking into your current “mirrors” that are showing you where you’re still showing up in repeated patterns + holding you back. 

with my own sagittarius south node in the 8th house, neptune sitting conjunct my midheaven in capricorn, + a chiron in taurus in the 2nd house, i came here to learn lessons around self-value + leave undermining what i bring to the table behind.

this is a heavily astrology-coded note for those who can read between the lines. 

but in our reading, what fern kindly asked me to consider is:

how in your life have you or continue to sacrifice yourself on the altar of others’ success, growth, emotions?

the evolution will not be televised; instead, it will be a growth process, curated over years of fated events + relationships, that will shape you from the inside out. 

fern describes this as similar to a physical stretch; it’s uncomfortable + unfamiliar at first, but leads to strength + expansion beyond what you could have believed about yourself. 

when you understand why you came here, you have to sit with the joy + the grief of your journey. 

you have to explore how fate is creating the vessel for you to authentically hold your destiny, and that honestly, sometimes the voyage to get there can suck. 

while some (terrible) astrologers can tell you how “bad” a certain placement is, evolutionary astrology can explore how it’s meant to be a guiding light towards you successfully reaching your destiny. 

how you need certain challenges to develop certain truths within yourself, to know what you what is actually possible. 

just when you think you’ve grasped the mission, the flow of time adds another level of nuance to destiny through progressed charts. 

considering all facets of the journey means also taking a peek at your progressed chart; taking into account how your energies are evolving at this stage and age, and how certain parts of your personality or identity might be moving to “help” with moving towards your destiny through shifting priorities or ways of personal expression. 

you don’t have to have all of the answers now.

you’re not meant to. 

you just have to be willing to take the voyage to get there.
